About the Position:
Serves as an Industrial & Mobilization Specialist with responsibility for production planning, analysis, and management of major industrial base programs. This position is located in the Materiel Systems Organization (MSO).
Duties
Manage the national and international tank, automotive, armament, watercraft, locomotive, commercial generator, and rail car industrial base for industrial preparedness and mobilization contingency planning.
Perform section analysis and studies and provide recommendations to Senior Army Executives regarding the industrial base, mobilization, and production aspects of weapon systems procurement critical to the national defense.
Develop and maintain a system to evaluate and monitor contract performance as it pertains to the proper use of Government Furnished Property.
Prepare periodic reports reflecting the Industrial Preparedness Operations Full Time Equivalents and the respective workload.
Conducts Industrial Preparedness and mobilization operations for planning, budgetary, and funding requirements.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) monitoring contractor performance; (2) maintaining scheduled production rates; (3) performing Industrial Capability Assessment; (4) identifying supplier capability/capacity problems; and (5) writing capability/assessment documents for review. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
