About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6A6AA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Security Resiliency Activity, ACOFS, G-2.
Duties
Support Army Commands (ACOMs), Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), and Army Direct Reporting Units (DRUs) by receiving security-related insider threat alerts.
Provide close-out reports to appropriate entities on behalf of the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), INSCOM Security Operations Center (ISOC).
Receive insider threat security alerts from the INSCOM Security Operations Center (ISOC) from a multitude of sources.
Provide guidance and support to security professionals across the Department of the Army (DA) in the areas of personnel security relative.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May be required under-go a random counterintelligence scope polygraph examination with no deception indicated.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- TDY Travel may be required approximately 15% or more of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with security related functions specific to insider threat, program and personnel security. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
