Duties
You will provide daily security support in a wide range of security functional areas that include information security, physical security, personnel security, communications security, and general security administration.
You will plan, implement and administer the Special Access Program (SAP)/Special Access Required (SAR) Security ensuring SAP/SAR security programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
You will serve as the lead or alternate lead Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) and provide advice and manage all aspects of SAP/SAR security programs needed to complete the organization's mission.
You will provide support in the areas of program protection planning; personnel, industrial, physical and Information Systems (IS).
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9/10 grade level or DA-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat; 2) Applying knowledge of security procedures, policy guidelines and regulations for security management of programs, personnel and resources; 3) Applying security concepts, principles and practices to review and analyze security problems; 4) Initiating and administering sensitive projects, testing and security operations; and 5) Providing security related training briefs to workforce under area of cognizance.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
