You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the Certification Branch (Code 133.2), in the Non-Nuclear Inspection Division (Code 133), of the Quality Assurance Office (Code 130) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will assign work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities.
You will develop short-range and mid-range plans to provide staffing, facilities, material and equipment to support scheduled and unscheduled non-nuclear work
You will coordinate continual training to ensure qualified personnel are available.
You will coordinate first draft responses to audits, surveillances, incident and deficiency reports.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing quality assurance concepts, principles, and methodologies to conduct effective audits/investigations; Experience auditing, investigating and utilizing analysis methods and techniques; Experience working with ship types, configurations, and systems to facilitate shipboard onsite inspections of failed systems/components; Experience reviewing training material and creating training plans regarding quality assurance programs; Experience interpreting drawings, plans, specifications, and job orders; Experience communicating and negotiating with cognizant personnel utilizing diplomacy, tact and sound judgement/recommendations to establish new maintenance, inspection and repair procedures.
