You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Quality Assurance Manager (Code 900Q), Production Department Analysis & Business Managert (Coder 900A), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will be responsible for all technical, functional, and associated operations of Production Department quality assurance. You will ensure quality problems and problem trends are identified, resolved effectively and in a timely manner. You will review worker and supervisor qualification requirements and training courses. You will conduct investigations of potential or existing problem areas affecting process and operations. You will carry out Equal Employment Opportunity policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience collecting and analyzing data for quality trends; Experience assuring production work, both nuclear and non-nuclear, is executed to the required quality standards, on time and within budget; Experience conducting internal process/program audits and oversight to identify areas in need of improvement; Experience conducting investigations of reported system/component failures in order to determine root causes and preventive actions; Experience carrying out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies; Experience making recommendations for hiring promotions, transfer, reassignment, recognition and disciplinary actions. Experience providing necessary managerial and administrative duties.
