This position will be assigned to the JBSA Skylark Community Center.
This is a regular part-time position with 20 guaranteed hours, may work up to 40hrs/wk .Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Supervises all lead bartenders and bartenders to include selecting, establishing work schedules, assigning work, approving/disapproving leave request; maintaining discipline; preparing performance evaluations and award recommendations. Determines proper staffing level request; maintaining discipline; preparing performance evaluations and award recommendations. Develops budget plan estimates and justification within prescribe timeframe. Reviews cost cards at least quarterly and adjust pricing accordingly with approval from the activity manager. Utilizes POS system to monitor and control food and beverage operations. Coordinates with the activity manager to determine which products to carry and sets prices for those products. Evaluates sales to determine which products are successful and which need to be replaced. Coordinates with catering and activity managers to determine need for full service and/or portable bars for special functions. Responds to customer cards concerning bar operations. Works with marketing department to advertise special events and promote daily business. May operate government vehicle to include light truck sedan, golf cart Position is a position of trust. Performs other related duties assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience that provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices. Experience may have been gained a supervisory/managerial position in a bar, food, and beverage operation, or similar establishment. Must have experience mixing and serving alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and the ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit, and the ability to mix exotic drinks. Experience to instruct and train subordinates on operations. Must have a working experience of cash registers and POS terminals as well as internal controls and money handling procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. General Knowledge of Management Principles and Practices.

4. Knowledge to instruct and train subordinates on operations.
