Duties
You will provide supervision, management, and administration of security specialists and assistants across various security disciplines.
You will complete performance management tasks, providing concise, accurate and timely feedback, making meaningful distinctions in performance, and holding employees accountable.
You will maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standard while adhering to legal regulations.
You will provide accurate, timely, and relevant information and well-analyzed recommendations to minimize unnecessary risk and protect against the full spectrum of threats and hazards to command missions and people.
You will serve as the Special Security Officer (SSO) and will be responsible for the execution of the NAWCWD Sensitive Compartmented Intelligence Security Program as it relates to the protection of information.
You will advise the Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) and command leadership regarding security weaknesses and vulnerabilities within area of responsibility and provide solutions.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge and experience of a wide range of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security related concepts, principles, technology, and practices; 2) Interpreting a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating internal security programs; 3) Utilizing analytical principles, practices, and techniques to assess security alternatives, considering specific situations, resource availability, and cost-effectiveness; 4) Familiarity with Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security for safeguarding classified information and enhancing mission assurance while providing recommendations on facility planning and policy implementation.
