You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SSC Program Office (PMS) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.

Duties
You will plan and manage cost and performance across the product support value chain, from design through disposal.
You will plan and determine the quantity and skill level of personnel requirements for operation and maintenance of systems/equipment throughout the life cycle.
You will plan or direct the provisioning, acquisition, replenishment and control of required supplies.
You will plan for and determine the type and quantity of operator and maintenance training required for logistical life cycle support.
You will develop procedure that govern requirements determination, generation, acquisition, use, storage, retrieval, maintenance, distribution and disposal of supporting technical data needed by the program/project.
You will develop plan for packaging, storage and transportability of systems or equipment within established parameters, e.g., material and equipment movement, special handling requirements and configuration/weight/route restrictions.
You will develop and coordinate requirements, cost estimates, plans and specifications for buildings, utilities and other facilities needed to produce, store, maintain, modify or service the program/project system, equipment or component.
You will provide the technical tasks (engineering and logistics investigations and analyses) to ensure continued operation and maintenance of a system with managed , (i.e.,known) risk.
You will Provides in-depth advice and consultation in the process of developing IPS strategies, phase-in schedules, procedures and IPS in-puts to budgeting .documents.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing acquisition plans and milestones for the procurement of components; directing the implementation and execution of program plans; identifying resource requirements; monitoring operations to improve logistics support time; monitoring logistics funds distributions or expenditures for projects or programs; coordinating and integrating separate logistics functions for efficient and timely logistics support for a destroyer acquisition program.
