Duties
You will participate in the development, coordination, and implementation of activities and events required meeting current and future NMCI and other information technology needs throughout Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) locations.
You will monitor and assist internal information assurance/security teams as required, and validate corrective actions taken in response to issues identified during security testing, either remotely or through site visits
You will act as the Information Technology Technical Representative for a specified geographic area or network to ensure technical aspects of the NMCI Information Technology service contract are executed correctly.
You will assist the command's IAM/ISSM in maintaining a comprehensive and effective Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) program that is consistent with Federal, Department of Defense, and Department of Navy instructions, regulations, and laws.
You will serve as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) customer representative, specifically order, delivery, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) clarification and support.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 and 722 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Apply information technology concepts, principles, methods, and practices sufficient to provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex information technology issues; 2) Provide interpretation of information technology policies, standards, and guidelines to customers in accomplishment of the organizational mission; 3) Apply methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology security tools and procedures; and 4) Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of the characteristics of computer hardware and software systems sufficient to engage comparable systems in use in other agencies and the private sector for accomplishing similar applications.
