About the Position: This position is with the Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County. Bordering the installation to the north are the towns of Waynesville, St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive to the east along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Perform a variety of production control and associated automation duties related to processing equipment Maintenance Requests in a Logistics Information System (LIS) such as the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army).
Employee is required to use multiple Logistic disciplines, both Supply and Maintenance, to create a Maintenance Request by validating equipment is properly cataloged in the Supply system.
Employee is required to update status of each Maintenance Request daily utilizing the Maintenance system.
Direct customers to the Work Center where completed items are located.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A qualified typist is required.
- Incumbent must complete GCSS-Army Training within 30 days of appointment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) utilizing automated systems to process and create work order requests; 2) reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness; 3) maintaining status of submitted work order requests and 4) utilizing various software/hardware such as Adobe, MS Excel, and copiers/scanners.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
