About the Position: This position is with the 88th Readiness Division (RD), Supply and Maintenance Division, Department of Logistics located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Duties

Assist in developing plans affecting logistical support of operations. Determine needs to support logistical operations. Advise on logistics status and type of logistics support required. Coordinate activities concerned with supply distribution and use of equipment. Analyze and evaluate maintenance programs for compliance. Conduct staff visits to render assistance and provide base operations support. Develop and/or interpret regulation, directives and policies. Initiate request for contracts for various services relating to logistical support.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical advice on logistical matters; utilizing logistical guidance to plan, coordinate or evaluate logistical actions in support of supply, maintenance, procurement, property accountability, transportation, equipment or food service; and assisting in writing instructions or technical guidance involving logistical issues.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Logistics Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ComplianceForecasting and Demand PlanningSupply PlanningSupply SupportTechnical DataTime in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
