About the Position: This position is with the 88th Readiness Division, Supply and Maintenance Division, Directorate of Logistics located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.

Duties

Analyze directives from higher headquarters to determine the logistic needs of the Command. Conduct periodic and special staff assistance visits throughout the Command. Manage and support the Command's property book and provide the guidance on property accountability. Monitor transportation support for contingency operations. Provide oversight of logistic systems for increasing efficiency and economy of logistics' systems.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting regulations, directives and policies; preparing and analyzing reports; reviewing requests for assistance in resolving logistical problems; monitoring maintenance status of subordinate units; delivering briefings to Command Staff; and formulating budget estimates for logistical requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsFacilities & InfrastructureTechnical CompetenceTime in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
