In this role, the ideal candidate is a professional, with demonstrated federal experience, responsible to provide advice and assistance to the CFO with respect to accounting, financial reporting, budget execution, funds control and financial operations.
Duties
Serve as an expert in accounting/budget procedures and policy compliance in the development and implementation of major operating policy and procedures.
Responsible for detailed, efficient operation and control of the day-to-day fiscal accounting activities of the Office using automated accounting systems to include monitoring, processing, coordinating, and reporting on invoices, IPACs, open obligations, required accruals, etc.
Performs budget execution and administration work involving monitoring obligations and expenditures. Develop annual budget formulation calendars and templates to support and monitor annual agency budget submission. Works with CFO to formulate and prepare portion of the budget submission to Congress.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting theories, concepts, practices, principles, methods, and techniques with respect to programming, budgeting, accounting, and financial systems.
Ability to gather and analyze data to prepare budget estimates, develop alternatives and make recommendations to resolve budget, accounting, and funding problems.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interpret policy and resolve complex problems that may arise.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a quick-paced environment while effectively and efficiently managing competing priorities.
Experience with Momentum preferred.
Education
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
