DCSA's Industrial Security Directorate is seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC). In this role, you will provide expert technical and operational advice to the NISP Authorization Office (NAO) to the myriad of information systems (IS); authorization and assessment; guidance and direction to cleared contractor community and regional staff; and ensure HQ NAO guidance is accurate and timely. Duties

This Position is located in the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, Industrial Security. As a Senior Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) AO Designated Representative (AODR) you will be responsible for the following duties: - Provide policy interpretation, recommendation and guidance to the NAO mission which performs Cybersecurity activities including security control assessments of cleared contractors in support of Information Technology (IT) system assess and authorize activity utilizing the Risk Management Framework (RMF). -As an AODR, advise & assist the Region Mission Director Authorizing Officials (RMD AO) and develop training as appropriate for the consistent application of security oversight mission of information systems within the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). -Supporting regionally, analyze, assess, evaluate, verify and validate cleared contractor information system security plans and controls, and deliver system authorization risk recommendations to the Authorizing Official. -Engage and interface with industry security stakeholders to assess implemented security controls. -Serve as spokesperson at national & regional conferences, working groups and training meetings to convey NISP and RMF implementation guidance and Cybersecurity information relating to industrial security.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Senior level knowledge of Cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework, Security Technical Implementation Guides, advanced information technology (IT) principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices; Experience leading IT teams to accomplish organizational strategic objectives; Experience exercising supervisory duties; Experience performing risk management and risk analysis activities. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Information Technology Customer Support: Provide functional and/or technical support to customers to ensure validation of requirements and delivery of Information Technology capabilities. 2.Cybersecurity Technical Skills: Protect and defend information and information systems in order to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. (AKA Information Assurance) 3. Information Technology Policy and Planning: Develop and promulgate Information Technology strategy, policy, guidance, and plans. Monitor to ensure consistency and compliance. 4. Problem Solving: Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information ;seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely effective recommendations, based on potential implications of finding or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. 5.
