This position is part of the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management - National Energy Technology Laboratory - NETL, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering the non-Federal Internship Programs.

Qualifications

GS-12 - SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: 1. Assisting with coordinating and administering the non-Federal Internship Programs covering Professional Interns, Postgraduate Research Associates, and Faculty Research Associates. 2. Assisting with managing the Summer and External Sponsored Internships, Mentor orientations, and Research Associate orientations. 3. Assisting, reviewing, and approving Faculty Stipend Requests. 4. Providing assistance to the Activity Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and participating on workforce development committees. GS-13 - SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: 1. Coordinating and administering the non-Federal Internship Programs covering Professional Interns, Postgraduate Research Associates, and Faculty Research Associates. 2. Managing the Summer and External Sponsored Internships, Mentor orientations, and Research Associate orientations. 3. Reviewing and approving Faculty Stipend Requests. 4. The OPM Group Qualification Standard for this position is: 0343 - General Schedule Qualification Standards (opm.gov) "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as scoring in the in Well Qualified category (or higher). You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
