About the Position: Fort Liberty is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC. It is centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Fayetteville Regional Airport is located 12 miles outside of Fort Liberty's gates and Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 70 miles away.
Duties
Serve as the project manager for Information Technology (IT) systems and services.
Provide technical guidance on complex IT issues.
Plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments in project management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance.
- This position requires a Drug Test.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position requires require incumbent to obtain and maintain a Project Management Professional Certificate.
- This position may require a one-year probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience in 1.) Interpreting IT policies, standards and guidelines to determine solutions to IT issues; 2.) Applying various analytical methods and procedures to evaluate IT services; 3.) Providing guidance to the command regarding functionality of systems, networks, and data; AND 4.) Demonstrated experience with complex IT projects.

Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT].
