Duties
Provides direction, development, and oversight of Garrison marketing operations such as commercial sponsorship, advertising, digital marketing, graphic design, and/or social media based on Army and local MWR regulations and branch manager needs.
Assists program managers with advertising, event marketing, sales campaigns, promotions, media, graphic art design, development of publications, and/or other marketing activities.
Provides a full range of supervisory functions to include directing subordinate staff, candidate evaluation and selection, leadership and team building, performance management, conflict resolution, and employee recognition.
Markets MWR programs and events for cash sponsorship, service-in-kind sponsorships, and merchandise-in-kind sponsorships and advertising opportunities by providing value through digital signage, web, and traditional media channels.
Oversees the production of MWR marketing materials. Maintains close contact with the Garrison Public Affairs Officer and local printing and distribution contractors. Responsible for all editorial staff work. Other duties performed as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications
Candidate must possess experience at a level that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for successful performance as follows:
1). Experience demonstrating skill in applying of a variety of principles, concepts, and techniques of marketing and sales.
2). Experience conducting research, surveys, and/or needs assessments to develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns.
3). Experience developing and presenting sponsorship solicitation packages and proposals.
4). Experience demonstrating skill in establishing cooperative relationships, such as with representatives of local media, community members, and military/civil service personnel.
5).Experience leading or mentoring other marketing professionals.
Highly preferred candidates will be referred to management first. In addition to the above mentioned qualification requirements, highly preferred is defined as also meeting ALL of the criteria listed below:
1). 2 years of progressive experience in marketing sales or sponsorship.
2). Demonstrated experience using social media.
3). Demonstrated successful results of a marketing campaign.
