Duties

Serve as Chief, Readiness Branch, HQs, US Army Pacific (USARPAC), Force Management Division (FMD). Readiness advisor and subject matter expert responsible for the command's readiness and assessment programs. Senior Advisor to the Chief of Staff on Readiness and Assessments support. Oversee the reporting of the command's operational readiness posture. Coordinate with HQs Department of the Army (HQDA) , US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), and subordinate command staff to ensure readiness reporting follows HQDA, Joint Staff and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) directives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening, and random testing thereafter. Required to sign DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assessing and reporting strategic readiness as it relates to theater level war plan; developing, coordinating, and implementing readiness assessment processes; and justifying posture and resourcing requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingStrategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
