The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is currently seeking a candidate for an Acquisition Program Manager Team Lead, DO-1101-02 in the Acquisition excellence Division. The incumbent will support the execution of JWAC's contract actions to include contracts in planning, Pre Award, and Post Award. You will guide, grow, and develop your team as acquisition and program manager professionals, while enhancing your professional development.
Duties
Guide a team of Program Managers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and Acquisition Professionals.
Develop process improvements, standard operating procedures/desk guides, and procurement strategies in order to meet mission requirement.
The incumbent will provide day-to-day contract support to include communicating with the Contracting Officer, Contractors, and Government Technical Point of Contacts.
Track metrics, performance, and overall health and wellness of assigned portfolios.
Provides information to peers, senior technical leaders, and/or managers within and beyond own organizational unit to influence decisions or recommend solutions
Works with customers to proactively define/anticipate problems and develop strategies for effective resolution within a particular program area
Demonstrates the ability to focus on team efforts toward goal accomplishment
Developing and implementing acquisition planning for complex procurements, understanding the scope and effort of each contract, monitoring the contract, including evaluating and maintaining data, and reviewing/verifying invoices.
Guide the establishment of follow-on contract vehicles, both services and materials, to ensure there is no lapse in contract support in coordination with project personnel.

- Incumbent must have or be capable of obtaining and retaining a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Qualifications
Only applicants who meet the area of consideration are eligible to apply for this job. In order to qualify for this position you must meet the specialized experience requirements.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DO-01/GS-11 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include leadership experience, experience in pre and post award contracts, purchase orders, task orders, delivery orders, and process improvements.
Other Desired Qualifications (The following will be used to help rate and rank eligible candidates.):
Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of large contracts, IDIQs, BPAs, simplified acquisition procedures, R&D and O&M funding, OTA, and program management.
Understanding of acquisition strategy, planning, and execution.
Knowledge of business, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities.
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, cooperate and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management.
Ability to establish, support, and maintain good relationships with colleagues and groups within the office as well as outside the immediate work unit.
Ability to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, review, and manage a variety of acquisition functions and personnel in support of the process.
