About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4GKAA HQ JOINT SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND. This position is located on historic Fort Liberty in Fayetteville, NC. Fort Liberty is the home of the national premiere Special Operations and Airborne Forces.

Duties

Senior General Military Intelligence Imagery Analyst responsible for the identification and location of foreign military equipment, forces, and activity worldwide. Maintains awareness of military, political, technical, and other developments worldwide to conduct imagery assessments. Analyzes imagery/FMV information to identify and locate military equipment, forces, and activity worldwide. Applies extensive knowledge of intelligence, imagery analysis, and research methodologies to develop foreign military unit and equipment databases. Identifies intelligence gaps and problems in collecting imagery information. Prepares imagery intelligence products and responses on complex issues. Briefs intelligence assessments and positions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Requires extensive temporary duty (TDY) travel on very short notice, to locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS), up to 30% of the time.
• Subject to short notice recall. Must reside within normal commuting distance of the assigned duty station (50 miles).
• Duties may be performed under austere and potentially hazardous conditions during exercise and deployment operations. May be required to deploy into areas in which hostile action may occur.
• May be required to complete specific training, physical examination, and immunization requirements as appropriate for outside the continental United States (OCONUS) deployments.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
• DESIGNATED EMERGENCY-ESSENTIAL: EE employees must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being placed in the Standby Reserve or other appropriate action. Required to sign a DoD Form 2365. (See NOTE in Qualifications below)

This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
