You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group, Security Dept, Security Support Div, Security Officer (CLK) BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will provide daily security support to security functional areas such as information security, physical security, personnel security, communications security, foreign disclosure and general security administration.
You will ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures and coordinate command security requirements.
You will communicate security issues effectively, both orally and in writing
You will develop and maintain Security Standard Operating Procedures.
You will provide assistance with command supported security exercises and activities.
You will provide security support and maintain access control logs for certified spaces.
You will perform self-inspections of secure facilities and ensure findings are addressed and closed out or mitigated to an acceptable level if risk.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band DA-01 (GS-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Planning and organizing work; and 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing. Examples include: 1) Utilizing knowledge of security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI); 2) Communicating effectively with leadership; and 3) Performing research for projects, identifying viable solutions, and establishing priorities.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
OR
Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
