About the Position: This position is located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor. Conduct Market research, developments the health and administrative service requirements Performance Work Statement (PWS) in direct coordination with Department. Analyzes and resolves complex/controversial problems relative to the management and operation of health care delivery at the MTF. Monitor, inspect, analyze and evaluate the services and operations in accordance with required regulations and publications. Verify compliance with Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans and contractual requirements by conducting and documenting monthly and as-needed on-site inspections.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing contractual documents; evaluating contractor performance and/or operations; coordinating with personnel regarding contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnology Application Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
