You will serve as a IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Information Technology & Cyber Security Division, Spectrum Warfare Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will provide maintenance, support, system/database design, automation, development of multi-platform classified networks, disaster recovery, servers, firewalls, and computers as required by IPT laboratories. You will develop, modify or installs new applications as required. You will manage and operate computer systems including performing backups, software installations, hardware installations/modifications. You will provide ay to day technical operation, maintenance and security of a computer system.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area XXXX level XX within 12 months of appointment.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DS-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, and virtualization technology (either VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V); 2) Demonstrating experience with database technology including Oracle and MySQL; 3) Utilizing DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guide) pertaining to Microsoft SQL Server including creating checklists and performing remediation and mitigations as required; and 4) Working within a Scaled Agile Framework including acting as the Product Owner for their team.
