You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST in the CAPITAL PLANNING/NMCI DIVISION of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL.
Duties
You will support IT systems and service as a lead Assistant Contract Technical Representative (ACTR) for Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), Continuity of Services (CoSC) and Next Generation Service Request Management (SRM).
You will support CTR’s interaction with contractors and or Contract Officer Representatives (COR), translate requirements, develop government estimates, and clarify specifications and associated services.
You will translate requirements into computer system/service specifications indicating components of system/service and formats required for functional applications including network protocols and operating systems.
You will review contractor proposed plans for consistency and accuracy and ensure plans meet field activities operational requirements.
You will provide metrics on file share usage and availability for command field activity, with metrics including but not limited to usage by site, file share capacity used, age of files, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
You will provide problem resolution escalation support to field activities and work with CTR’s to mitigate any unresolved concerns in accordance with the NMCI/CoSC/NGEN contract requirements.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. Must obtain and maintain the credentials described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Cust Svc and Tech Support (041) Intermediate level within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Review organization technical requirements to determine information technology (IT) procurements or contractual actions; 2) Coordinate with customers to determine feasible technical solutions to meet internet/intranet (e.g., Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI)) requirements; 3) Analyze and evaluate the scope of IT systems and make recommendations to determine the need for modifications and redesign; and 4) Coordinate site surveys; review contractor proposals, determine specifications and cost estimates for technical accuracy of IT projects.
