About the Position: Serves as a Training Specialist under the general direction of the International Military Student Office (IMSO), Chief, with primary emphasis on Security Cooperation Education and Training Program (SCETP) for international military students (IMS); assists in managing International Military Students quotas for proponent schools with the 30th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Duties

Provide advice to international military students ensuring adherence to all applicable rules and regulations. Maintain open lines of communication between International Military Student Office Chief, instructors, course managers, FCoE personnel and external partners to provide information pertaining to IMS training. Monitor training effectiveness and proper resources allocation by analyzing data. Extract information from training data to create current and engaging instructional program materials. Evaluate best practices, research and theories in training and education to ensure the training programs for English language learners fulfill short and long term goals. Utilize instructional technology and software programs to develop curriculum products, input data, retrieve information and create schedules and reports.

Requirements

  • The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position required the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.
  • The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • Defense National Relocation Program will NOT be authorized.

Provide administrative support for students in Air Defense Artillery training courses; 2. Utilize automated systems that support Air Defense Artillery training courses; 3. Serve as a point of contact to disseminate training course information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Adult Education or International Studies. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Interpersonal SkillsManages and Organizes InformationTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
