Duties
Responsible for analytical work in connection with systems which require obtaining, compiling, and verifying data from internal and external sources concerning operational issues.
Experience with development of new systems or modifications of existing systems.
Develops and conducts studies of accounting and financial management processes related to Automated Information Systems (AIS).
Studies the integrity of finance and accounting data systems and internal controls in the Automated Information Systems, tests the audit trails for various transactions.
Oversees and monitors implementation and functional testing of new office automation systems and enhancements and modifications of existing systems.
Analyze the effect of operational issues related to accounting and payment procedures.

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as identifying, documenting and recommending functional requirements for existing and new System Change Requests (SCRs) to improve outputs or operations; supporting COGNOS reporting development; designing, modifying, and enhancing financial systems utilizing applications such as Agile Infusion for software development methodology.
GS-12 Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
