This position is located in the Division of Administration, Human Resources Branch, Human Capital Operations (HCO), of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and is responsible for overseeing and providing service to all Divisions and Offices on corporate human capital operational activities and programs.
The duty location will be determined upon selection. This position may be located in one of the six Regional offices, or the Boston Area Office, or Washington, DC.
Duties
- Provides technical advice, guidance, consultation and assistance to employees, supervisors, managers, and executives involving staffing, recruitment and placement-related matters.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing technical guidance and making substantive recommendations as a subject matter expert to managers, supervisors and employees related to recruitment and staffing operational work; independently leading strategic recruitment and consultative discussions with clients or customers; preparing and analyzing human resources data and metrics; utilizing a variety of human resources information systems to review the work of others; and developing recruitment and staffing related operating procedures and recommending process improvements.
In addition to the qualification requirements listed above, you must also meet the following selective factor to be considered eligible for this job. The selective factor is defined as: Current Delegated Examining certification by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management is required for this position.
