About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Deputy Project Manager (DPM) for an assigned Program Executive Office (PEO).
This position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-14, step 10 base salary. Therefore, the salary for the position will be set within a range from $120,849 to $157,100 including locality. If the incumbent's salary currently exceeds this level, the salary control point will be at the incumbent's existing salary.
Duties
Responsible for all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million-dollar annual budget.
Interfaces with external stakeholders such as representatives from OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, TRADOC, ASA(ALT), PEO Staff, and other commands and agencies, and private industry on all matters effecting program execution.
Leads and coordinates the combined efforts of the Army industrial team in expediting assigned program responsibilities.
Reviews programming documents received from HQDA to determine effect on assigned programs.
Oversees POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.
Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position/Key Leadership Position. A tenure agreement to remain in Federal Service for 4 years must be executed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) level in the Federal Service that includes: 1) Managing the cost schedule and performance of a high visibility defense Acquisition program; 2) Working in various areas of the defense acquisition process such as program management, development, test and evaluation, contracting, production, and financial management; and 3) Managing the work of an organization that includes civilians, military, and contractors in the performance of defense acquisition work.
