Duties
Serve as the Logistics Division Chief at the Chemical Biological Center (CBC).
Advising on policies and procedures related to logistics operations and management.
Providing oversight on equipment, vehicles, and supplies from acquisition through utilization, maintenance, and disposition.
Overseeing staff responsible for the receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and disposition of property, and supplies.
Managing the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of logistics programs
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- May be required to complete a 1-year supervisory probation period.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15 % of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes;1) advising on policies and procedures related to logistics operations and management; AND 2) managing property accounts using Automated Management Information Systems; AND 3) coordinating logistics activities to include shipping, receiving, and storage of materials/equipment; AND 4) leading others on completing logistics operations; AND 5) managing supply, equipment, maintenance, and transportation programs; AND 6)managing the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of logistics programs.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02/GS-11 or above]).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
