This position is located in the Division of Administration (DOA), Human Resources Branch (HRB), Human Capital Operations (HCO) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and provides support in the areas of staffing, pay setting, payroll and personnel action processing, records retention, and HR information systems.

Duties
- Participates in the development of new or improved procedures and guidelines affecting payroll/personnel processing activities and troubleshoots inquiries to resolve and streamline issues.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-11: To qualify applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 9 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience applying human resources principles, practices, laws and regulations to provide advisory services on personnel actions; and utilizing personnel automated systems to process payroll and personnel actions, and employee corrections.

EDUCATION: To qualify based on education; applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.M., if related. OR
COMBINING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the CG-11 level.
