This position is part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be supporting the Controlled Unclassified Information Program and the Director, CUI Program, in developing integrated strategies designed to promote and ensure compliance with Federal statutes, regulations, and Departmental directives; and managing all aspects of CUI requirements for the Agency.

- Occasional travel may be required.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Agreement.
- This is NOT a remote position, and the incumbent will be required to report to the office a certain number of days per pay period.
- At the GS-14 level this will be a Managerial position.
Qualifications
GS-13 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 2 of the 3 following:
1. Applying compliance with Federal statutes, regulations, and departmental directives and activities as a management and program analyst and supports leadership.
2. Communicating with colleagues and various work groups on related categories applicable to the organization and implementing associated marking, access, transmission, protection, destruction, and challenge procedures.
3. Improving the utilization of information technologies that can enhance the division's operations.
GS-14 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 3 of the 4 following:
1. Coordinating with Departmental elements and designated CUI officials to identify related categories applicable to the organization and implementing associated marking, access, transmission, protection, destruction, and challenge procedures.
2. Ensuring that the operational and informational needs of the Department are met, and that all statutory, regulatory, and government-wide requirements are upheld.
3. Establishing an internal CUI community to promote consistent practices and procedures and facilitates Program adoption and execution.
4. Developing integrated strategies and ensure compliance with Federal statutes, regulations, and departmental directives and activities as a management and program analyst and supports leadership.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
