You will serve as an Electronic Warfare Support Specialist in the NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will analyze demonstrated technologies to determine the military utility of the system and the potential for integrating the system into a concept of operations.
You will develop, propose, or modify methods or criteria to resolve problems where no clear precedent exists.
You will participate in decision making for requirements justification, program management, and budget tracking in technical fields of specialized non-standard tactical electronic warfare and information operations equipment.
You will provide oversight for the execution of funding for numerous programs and projects and their relationships with other programs and key administrative support functions within the command and other agencies.
You will provide training, development, guidance, and sustainment to ensure all operational assets and personnel remain current and effective under DoD and interagency directives.

- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Providing technical expertise for planning, organizing, and managing preliminary research and design; prototype design, development and fabrication;
2. Evaluating testing of electrical systems for tactical electronic warfare/information operations subsystems and components.
3. Analyzing technologies to determine military utility of the system and potential for integration
4. Writing technical requirements, unfunded requirements, operational deficiencies, authorities, tactics, techniques, procedures, and policy.
5. Developing, proposing, or modifying methods or criteria to resolve problems.
