You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the JOINT MISSION OPERATIONS CENTER (JMOC) of US FLEET CYBER COMMAND. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Duties

You will serve as the Identify Data Management (IDM) team's subject matter expert (SME) for IDM Operations Security (OPSEC). You will provide OPSEC expertise to facilitate and support IDM operations. You will lead recurring OPSEC program functions, including comprehensive program analysis and audits to identify the need for corrective actions and refinements. You will identify, document and justify requirements for OPSEC program funding and other resources including those that are unique to the IDM function. You will participate in survey debriefings and arrange survey team augmentation from other sources, as required.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • Must successfully complete the requisite Identity Data Management courses as directed by the USCYBERCOM Identity Data Management Office (e.g., Advanced Technician’s Course) within the timeline prescribed after appointment to this position.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience providing guidance and oversight for continuing Operations Security (OPSEC) program implementation, including implementation at other locations. -Experience conducting comprehensive OPSEC analysis of current and anticipated operational scenarios, and making recommendations. -Experience preparing and delivering decision briefings to convey and justify recommendations on mission performance against stated goals. -Experience coordinating and monitoring OPSEC training for the team and supporting members. -Experience recommending innovative Courses of Action (COAs) to resolve deficiencies and/or remedy potential vulnerabilities. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-0080-13.
