You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Support Division, Security Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures and coordinate Command security requirements. You will analyze and research security issues, identify solutions, and communicate those solutions effectively, both orally and in writing, to various levels of leadership within the command. You will establish priorities and coordinate work across projects, programs, or people, and effectively balance work demands. You will organize and prioritize own tasks to deliver the objective in a timely manner, adjusting work plans as necessary. You will assist the lead with answering security inquiries, processing security clearance upgrades/downgrades, and validations.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge and experience with security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI); 2) Providing security related training briefs to workforce encompassing various security domains such as: information security, physical security, communications security, operations security, personnel security, etc.); 3) Communicating effectively, conducting research for projects, identifying viable solutions to problems, and establishing priorities in tasking. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree

OR
