Duties
You will serve as a member of Training and Exercises Division involved in training and exercise planning and execution for an Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB).
You will design, direct, coordinate, and oversee a range of training and exercise activities related to contingency and logistics operations.
You will develop and provide recommendations on training policy, priorities, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure the full scope of training requirements and issues are identified and addressed.
You will be responsible for assisting in the overall planning and execution of exercises.
You will interpret and provide strategic and functional analysis for issues, Operational Orders, Operation Plans, Contingency Plans, initiative and directives emanating within ASC and from HQ AMC and other Life Cycle Management Centers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent employee to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Incumbent is required to work (Mission Essential) regardless of weather conditions or base closure and to report to the duty station at the regularly scheduled time.
- Will be required to work extended hours during training exercises and may be required to live and work under field conditions.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting studies/analysis of logistical contingency and mobilization plans; recommending appropriate logistical training to support logistical and training operations; interpreting and implementing logistical policies and procedures within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
