About the Position: This is a TERM NTE (13 Months) position as a Training Specialist with the US ARMY Chaplain Center and School Office of Clinical Pastoral Education, Fort Jackson SC 29207.
SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND OPM PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK".
Duties
Serves as asynchronous Learning Training Developer in the Graduate Schools, School for Professional Development (SfPD), in support of chaplain corps non-IET/PME Professionalization efforts.
Utilizes extensive knowledge and experience with Chaplain Corps and religious support functions and in training to develop and present a variety of instructional course work related to religious support.
Uses extensive knowledge of Training Development Capabilities (TDC) to ensure that all training development documents are current and relevant to the program of instruction.
Researches, develops, writes, revises, and reviews the technical content of course materials in conformance with existing guidelines.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: One year specialized which includes: (1) developing courseware in the areas of religious lesson plans, practical exercises, course management plans and student assessments, (2) Implement changes as policies and guidance are updated in subject matter areas, and (3) experience performing religious support program functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: PhD. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
