You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (AQUATICS) of OFFICER TRAINING COMMAND.
Duties
You will evaluate swimming program material and exercises to determining if programs relate to organizational goals.
You will determine the manner in which to best convey the course material to the students.
You will give oral instructions to execute processes or procedures.
You will review military training instructions and reports for adequacy and accuracy.
You will coordinate joint exercises to accomplish training and certification requirements.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a high risk training position, and the incumbent is required to screen for and maintain physical and psychosocial suitability per OPNAVINST 1500.75D, NETCINST 1500.13D and CNSTCINST 1500.13E.
- Must possess current certification for or hold military equivalent: American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and American Red Cross Lifeguard Training with First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer.
- Must be an expert swimmer and have minimum of one year of experience as a swimming instructor or coach.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifies water emergencies and adopt effective courses of action; 2) Utilizes and teaches water safety, emergency response, self-survival and life support; 3) Monitors and administers swim qualification tests.
