You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL/OA) in the Customer Service Branch, Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC), Manpower MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will coordinate and supervise junior personnel to meet the administrative support requirements within the Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC). You will review and ensure corrective action on pay entitlements is reported in accordance with applicable regulations and policies to ensure the accuracy of pay and entitlements of personnel assigned to the IPAC. You will provide guidance to junior personnel in providing appropriate customer service, ensuring the section maintains a high standard of professionalism at all times. You will provide data management implementation and expertise to clerks, technicians, unit leaders, and newly accessed personnel on all aspects of Marine Corps Total Forces System (CFS), dependent information, and documents required. You will provide reports to Branches and Sections within their total number of transactions and failure rates. You will review action requests, identify gaps or inconsistencies in the documentation needed for a complete and accurate record, and initiate action to obtain needed data. You will perform personnel administrative duties utilizing manual and automated information systems to prepare documents, maintain personnel records and input, track, audit and retrieve pay and personnel information.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Performing various management, clerical, instructor, analytical, and administrative duties; utilizing manual and automated information systems, and military personnel automated software programs; AND advising and providing counsel to personnel regarding policies, procedures, and directives.
