You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURE ASSISTANT (MIL/OA) in the RECEPTIION CENTER, ID BRANCH of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will review forms, documentation, and other related information; provide customer assistance for obtaining DEERS/RAPIDS enrollment and Identification cards You will research and provide rules, regulations, and requirements to make recommendations You will draft correspondence for review and appropriate signatures; and use oral communication for receiving telephone inquiries and/or referring customers. You will manage applicant data using software programs (e.g., Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar software application). You will interview personnel to obtain information required to complete records or correct discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • his position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Verifying the identity credentials for physical and logical access to government facilities and information systems for military personnel and DoD civilians; selecting and preparing ID Card type and verifying that all information is accurate and correct; AND issuing identification cards/access badges to contractors and vendors. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • I have successfully completed four years of education above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite; OR
  • I have a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required experience plus the percentage of the required education must equal one hundred percent.
