You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (SAP) in the Chief of Naval Operations Division of NAVAVNWARDEVCEN.
Duties
You will provide professional security management, training, and administrative expertise for the implementation of SAPs within NAWDC Headquarters and throughout NAWDC's type/model weapons schools.
You will function as the NAWDC Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) Security Manager providing security oversight of operations within the SAPF. Oversees the SAP key and lock control.
You will ensure NAWDC SAP facilities comply with applicable SECNAV, DoD, and National-level multi-discipline security policies.
You will provide for the accountability and control of NAWDC SAP classified material/documents and SAP material storage containers.
You will manage and operate a command-wide personnel security clearance and access control database.
You will oversee visitor access to NAWDC SAP spaces for conferences, meetings, and discussions.
You will provide program indoctrination and debriefings of highly technical and sensitive special projects to Navy and civilian officials, up to and including flag officers and Senior Executive Service, on a need-to-know (NTK) basis.
You will provide policy recommendations regarding SAP security to senior staff decision makers.
You will provide day-to-day supervision, training, and guidance to enlisted personnel, when assigned.
You will assign and review work, approve leave, sign time cards and give advice, counsel or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing security operations (e.g. personnel, physical, industrial, information) and procedures to identify and resolve discrepancies for an industrial security program.
