Duties
Serves as an expert analyst responsible for providing technical and management support for major products and suspense (next bullet)
as well as primary support of the Facilities and Equipment (DM-I) and Environment (EIandE) Program Objective Memorandum (POM) to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Sustainment) [ASD(S)] and associated Deputy Assistant Secretaries.
Works to support and train the entire G5-I staff on the Task Management Tool application. Provides day to day support and management of task as well as providing group and desk-side training to all users and senior level staff.
Complete and review reports, analyze trends, timeliness of processing actions, status of actions and identify discrepancies or deficiencies.
Provides advice and assistance on management techniques and methods for monitoring and controlling, evaluating, and improving G5-I operations.
Provides analyses on G5-I's structure and makes recommendations for reorganization based upon best practices. Develops and revises G5-I's policies, instructions, directives, and procedures as they relate to optimization within the Enterprise.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Management and Program Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Serving as a Program Analyst with demonstrated experience applying a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of complex management processes or systems.
Communicating orally and in writing, with well-honed interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
Knowledge of a wide range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedence applicable to the administration of public programs
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
