You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST) in the Command Department (00) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Duties

You will create and maintain an overall multi-year integrated master schedule for all of the Energetics Comprehensive Modernization Plan (ECMP) projects and coordinate with all major stakeholders (Comptroller, Facilities, Safety, etc.) You will identify the critical path for all projects to include projected project timelines and expenditure of funds. You will be responsible for project management while coordinating and collaborating regularly with the Strategic Infrastructure lead in all areas of the overall ECMP project. You will identify risks and create mitigation plans for project plans to include communicating those risks to leadership; and engaging and collaborating with various Governance Boards as a feedback channel to ensure priorities are executed timely. You will support the development of a messaging campaign for ECMP, to include assisting corporate communication and the ECMP Strategic Infrastructure Lead with external messaging on progress and support requirements.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, developing, and managing technical project requirements and operations (e.g., cost; scope; appropriate risk; short and long-term planning) to assess and develop business or administrative processes and procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
