Duties
Coordinates with USAFMCOM directorates, staff, and external organizations to develop plans and operational requirements that synchronize the Commanding General’s goals and objectives.
Provides full range of planning and development support in concert with senior USAFMCOM and higher headquarters staff to carry out both current and future missions and functions.
Plans, directs, and manages assigned functions to develop the strategic concepts and vision to fully achieve USAFMCOM mission, goals, and objectives.
Develops and executes Emergency Management and Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans in coordination with USAFMCOM directorates and staff.
Serves as the USAFMCOM rep on various planning groups established by higher headquarters and other organizations to accomplish G-3/5/7 planning/development related projects and tasks.

- Department of the Army DA Civilians must successfully complete all mandatory Civilian Education System CES courses which may require travel.
- Obtain/Maintain Financial Management Certification.
Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-13 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-12 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience developing and executing plans such as concept plans supporting military operations, Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans, or Operations Orders (OPORDs), leading planning or project teams to resolve problems related to military operations, and program management such as COOP or Emergency Management or project management of military events such as COOP exercises, change of command, assumption of responsibility, or military promotions/retirements.
