About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND ARMY INTELLIGENCE ENTERPRISE-DIGITAL FORT BELVOIR, VA.
Duties
Manages the daily activities for a workforce comprised of over 60 Department of the Army Civilians, Military, and Contracted personnel supporting Army-wide, global Military Intelligence operations.
Empowers subordinates to develop and present creative approaches to difficult problems and technology challenges.
Conducts concept and policy development for data and IT related issues and initiatives on behalf of the Army Intelligence and Security Enterprise.
Collaborates with the Intelligence Community (IC) and Army Intelligence program managers supporting Intelligence data analysis and platform support.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
- This position requires travel up to 15% of the time. Must be able to travel (both CONUS and OCONUS) related to duties of this position.
- This position may require on-call and off duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as, need to maintain mission continuity.
- Will be required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, SF-278, upon entering position, annually, and upon termination of employment, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 30August 1993.
- Will be required to sign a mobility agreement prior to entry into this position.
