This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Program Support Center, Federal Occupational Health (FOH), Clinical Health Service (CHS), located in Rockville, Maryland.

Duties

Partners with senior leaders and serves as a subject matter expert within Federal Occupational Health (FOH) and across PSC as needed to support activities involving Clinical Health Service (CHS). Plans, facilitates, and oversees staff work. Provides review, feedback, and instruction to improve quality and clarity of work products and communications. Plans, establishes, and reports on program goals, objectives, and measurement criteria to ensure FOH’s operational integrity and delivery of efficient, timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service to customers. Reviews policies, procedures, narratives, presentations, reports, correspondence, and other working documents as needed to ensure proper application of PSC administrative policies and procedures. Works with senior officials across FOH and PSC as appropriate to support operational activities as it relates to CHS service programs, quality initiatives, protocols and policies, business operations, financial management, staff management, etc.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirement as noted below. Specialized Experience: GS-14: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Advising leadership on work methods, practices, and procedures to resolve administrative and technical challenges or issues; Leading projects, initiatives, and/or program activities related to a variety of administrative operations (i.e., quality initiatives, protocols and policies, business operations, financial management, staff management, etc.) Providing guidance to various stakeholders related to public health programs; and Evaluating work products (i.e., briefs, reports, presentations, correspondence, or other communications) to ensure proper application of administrative policies and procedures.
