You will serve as an Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic Training Leader in the MRO Production Department, Production Lines Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will disassemble, examine and determine depth of aircraft rework.
You will troubleshoot, test, coordinate and align complex aircraft systems.
You will repair, modify, assemble, and test aircraft and F/E components such as arresting and landing gear.
You will assemble and test aircraft landing gear, struts and related component parts.
Requirements

I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks including; 1) Trains Journeymen, workers, apprentices of various trades and military personnel in the disassemble, overhaul, repair, assemble and/or test arresting gear, landing gear, bomb racks, bomb ejector racks, missile launchers, fuel tank pylons, missile pylons, target launchers, target launcher reeling machines, tow reels, two reel transmission, and miscellaneous armament units and aircraft auxiliary equipment; 2) Training involves certification for EFREES systems; 3). Utilize a knowledge of explosive devices and take proper safety precautions in their handling and storage; 4) Lead aircraft ordnance systems mechanics and/or aircraft ordnance systems repairers in performing day to day duties, providing oversight and guidance. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including; 1) Trains Journeymen, workers, apprentices of various trades and military personnel in the disassemble, overhaul, repair, assemble and/or test arresting gear, landing gear, bomb racks, bomb ejector racks, missile launchers, fuel tank pylons, missile pylons, target launchers, target launcher reeling machines, tow reels, two reel transmission, and miscellaneous armament units and aircraft auxiliary equipment; 2) Trains personnel for certification for EFREES systems; 3). Utilize a knowledge of explosive devices and take proper safety precautions in their handling and storage; 4) Lead aircraft ordnance systems mechanics and/or aircraft ordnance systems repairers in performing day to day duties, providing oversight and guidance. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
I have the ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including: 1) Trains Journeymen, workers, apprentices and military personnel in the disassemble, overhaul, repair, assemble and/or test arresting gear, landing gear, bomb racks, bomb ejector racks, missile launchers, fuel tank pylons, missile pylons, target launchers, target launcher reeling machines, tow reels, two reel transmission, and miscellaneous armament units and aircraft auxiliary equipment; 2) Prepares personnel for certification for EFREES systems; 3). Takes proper safety precautions in their handling and storage; 4) Assists aircraft ordnance systems mechanics and/or aircraft ordnance systems repairers in performing day to day duties. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
I have the ability to perform simple tasks or I have received training on this type of work.
I do not have on-the-job training or the abilities described above.
