Serves as manager within the Laboratory Services Division for a multidisciplinary team that maintains and operates the FAA’s air traffic simulator at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. The simulator supports research and development (R&D) of current NAS systems and future NAS concepts.
Duties
The simulation team provides the following services: simulation design and development, rapid prototyping, data collection, computer engineering, laboratory management, and human-in-the-loop (HITL) simulation environments.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience leading the design, development, and execution of complex air traffic control simulation systems for future air traffic concepts to include experience with human-in-the-loop simulations, to include project management of resource allocation, project tracking, task duration estimation, project planning, project status monitoring, and interfacing with customers and internal/external organizations.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
