As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This incumbent with serve as the Supervisory IT Specialist at the William J Hughes Technical Center, for the System Safety Section, ANG-E272.
Duties
Serves as manager within the Aviation Research Division for a multidisciplinary team that conducts research, engineering, and development in areas such as flight control and mechanical systems, system safety management, terminal area safety, and vertical flight/rotorcraft safety.

- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Experience includes: Experience conducting and leading research and development programs including identifying research gaps, evaluating technological changes, and applying results of science across management, regulatory and other decision frameworks, collaborating and leveraging research assets and capabilities external to the FAA, experience working with academia and other organizations where research is conducted to advance cross-cutting aviation technologies.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.All, some or none may be interviewed.
