You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Radar and Acoustic Test and Evaluation Branch within the NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

Duties

You will lead and manage Radar and Acoustics/Magnetic Anomaly Detection sub-system T and E efforts. You will be responsible for identification of critical program test elements; translating engineering test requirements into test plans; conduct of tests; and reporting of test results in the area of integrated mission systems and avionics. You will interface with experts across the core engineering competencies associated with Warfare Analysis and the Digital, Analytics, Infrastructure/Technology Advancement group to formulate a Capability Based LVC RDT and E strategy. You will provide technical direction, guidance, oversight, and leadership of sub-system Developmental T and E programs within the assigned Integrated Test Team (ITT) and Integrated Program Team (IPT) structures. You will develop and facilitate training for peers and team members including platform/technology specific, mission areas, technical tools, lessons learned, or process improvements. You will ensure that the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the sub-system focused team and integrated into the team’s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services. You will coordinate test efforts with the Test Team Engineer, Test Team Mission Systems Lead, Flight Test Engineers TECT, Platform Coordinators, and other Test Team Engineers as the principle point of contact for test and evaluation.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Professional competence in T&E sufficient to provide overall leadership and technical direction of processes and products for a diverse team workforce. 2.) Overall knowledge and experience of principles and practices of installed MS systems technology sufficient to serve as a technical authority on all aspects of RADAR or Acoustics/Magnetic Anomaly Detection subsystems DT and E. 3.) Use of creativity and experienced judgment in identifying unique approaches for achieving desired results, extending traditional techniques, and developing new ones to solve novel and obscure problems. 4.) Building and exploitation of coalitions both internal and external to the NTWL to meet program/project goals and/or division initiatives. 5.) Ability to lead complex test projects from defining requirements, identifying resources, test planning, execution, analysis, and to reporting. 6.) Experience in developing others through formal or informal training/development initiatives.
