Duties
As an Equal Employment Manager (Deputy Director), you will:
Supervise projects or studies to design equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs that are vital to the EEO mission of the agency affecting fundamental employment and management policies and practices of the agency.
Review compliance of large organizations to ensure compliance with EEO laws and regulations.
Provide technical advice and consultations to management officials concerning the preparation and monitoring of detailed affirmative action plans and make recommendations based on their analysis of workforce characteristics, organization structure, and utilization of employees by age, race, sex, religion, national origin, disability or other protected basis.
Provide advice and leadership to the office in the area of systems administration, including responsibility for data analysis on both the program management and complaint areas.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes leading department or agency programs that deal with Equal Employment Opportunity, Civil Rights, Reasonable Accommodations, or Harassment.
TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
